You found my previous life
Before I became this saddle cover, I helped build better waterproof technology.
Inside is a dimpora® membrane: a layer just microns thin that keeps rain out, lets heat escape, and changes how technical protection feels.
Turns out, keeping things dry is still part of the job.
01Lab life
Before a membrane makes it into a jacket, shoe or glove, there’s a lot happening at the microscopic level: engineering polymer formulations, controlling pore structures, building new fabric constructions and putting them through rigorous performance testing.
What looks like a piece of fabric is, in fact, a small piece of membrane research.
02Job done
I helped the Dimpora team test, learn and build better waterproof technology.
Development samples like this one have already served their purpose, helping us validate performance, compare constructions and advance the technology.
But that doesn’t mean the material has reached the end of its useful life.
03Life after R&D
Instead of letting functional development material go to waste, we gave it another purpose.
That piece of Dimpora R&D is now keeping your saddle dry.

The interesting part is still inside
That incredibly thin layer inside the fabric is what we make.
At dimpora, we develop waterproof, breathable membranes differently: with a network of tiny pores that physically let heat and moisture escape while keeping rain out.
No PFAS. No solvents. And a technology platform designed to work with better material choices.
You’ll probably never see it. That’s kind of the point.
